AcuNeedle.shop is run by Erik Vinje Olbjørn, Ole Jørgen Frydenlund, and Thomas Grønsberg Løken. We come from different professional backgrounds and bring different areas of expertise, but we share the same passion for treatment, health, professional development, and providing therapists and healthcare practitioners with high-quality tools. Through many years of clinical practice, we have learned just how important it is to be able to trust the equipment you use – in terms of quality, functionality, ease of use, and reliability. Erik Vinje Olbjørn

Erik is a qualified acupuncturist specialising in classical acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Over the years, he has pursued further training in areas including EXSTORE, Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, neuroacupuncture, scalp acupuncture, and dry needling. Erik is the founder of St. Olav Helseklinikk and has extensive experience in clinical practice, patient care, clinic management, and the development of modern treatment services. Over many years, he has built a broad professional and international network and has been actively involved in continuing education, courses, and collaboration with a variety of clinical and professional communities. Together with Ole Jørgen, Erik also maintains close professional ties with Eye Hospital Beijing and other specialist communities in China. These connections provide valuable access to international developments, new treatment methods, technology, professional knowledge, and innovative products. Erik has a particular interest in combining extensive clinical experience with acupuncture, dry needling, neuroacupuncture, modern treatment methods, and emerging technologies.

Ole Jørgen Frydenlund

Ole Jørgen trained as an acupuncturist at Akupunkturhøyskolen in Norway and at Nanjing University in China and has worked in clinical practice since graduating in 2000. He previously worked as both an acupuncturist and general manager at Balderklinikken and has held positions within the Norwegian Acupuncture Association. Through many years of continuing education, Ole Jørgen has developed particular expertise in Master Tung acupuncture, Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, electroacupuncture, EXSTORE, neuroacupuncture, and dry needling. He has also built a strong international professional network. Together with Erik, he maintains close ties with Eye Hospital Beijing and other specialist communities in China, providing access to new ideas, treatment methods, technologies, and products. These international connections are also an important part of the development of AcuNeedle.shop. They allow us to stay close to developments in the field, discover promising products and treatment methods, and assess what may be relevant and useful for practitioners in Norway. Ole Jørgen has a particular interest in modern acupuncture, neuroacupuncture, dry needling, electrotherapy, and new treatment technologies, as well as how these approaches can be integrated effectively into everyday clinical practice.

Thomas Grønsberg Løken

Thomas is a qualified nurse with foundational studies in medicine and additional training across several areas of healthcare and treatment. He is a certified sports and muscle therapist from the Norwegian Institute of Sports and Health (NIHI) and has completed further studies in nutrition and reflexology at Tunsberg Medical School. Thomas has extensive experience from both hospital settings and the medical technology industry, including management roles. This has given him valuable insight into healthcare, medical technology, product quality, and the practical requirements of professional clinical environments.

In addition, Thomas has pursued further training in EXSTORE, electroacupuncture, and dry needling. He is also studying Chinese acupuncture, with a particular interest in Dr. Tan’s Balance Method and Master Tung acupuncture. He is especially interested in how traditional treatment methods can be combined with modern knowledge, technology, and clinical equipment in practical and targeted ways. His combination of clinical experience, management expertise, many years in the medical technology industry, and ongoing professional development gives Thomas a broad perspective and adds valuable expertise to AcuNeedle.shop. His experience is particularly valuable when evaluating new products, treatment equipment, and technologies, with a strong focus on quality, functionality, ease of use, and relevance to everyday clinical practice.
